We are thrilled to share Brett & Brett’s wedding film! We’ve had the honor of knowing Brett Trapp for the past couple years through a really cool non-profit organization that we’re both involved with called Plywood People. We first met Brett (Trapp) right at the beginning of him launching a brand new podcast on iTunes that gained notable traction and popularity and over the following year we really got to know his story personally and we could not be more excited for he and Brett Harman to begin their lives together now as a married couple. It’s also been about a year or so since we first met Brett (Harman) and he is just one of the kindest people. It’s been such a pleasure to get to know Brett & Brett more & more over the past several months.

It is our joy and honor that we could be there to celebrate and film such an incredible day with Brett & Brett. Their wedding was held at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, GA on May 31, 2018. We know that special day was something they both waited a long time for and something that at various points throughout their lives, they weren’t certain would ever even happen.

In their own words:

“APRIL 12, 2015. THAT WAS THE DATE…

we exchanged our first text messages:

HARMAN: Hey there, this is Brett from Tinder

TRAPP: Haha hey there brett from tinder. My last names Trapp FYI.

HARMAN: Good to know. I’m brett harman. Wow that was fast!

This profound little exchange happened several weeks after matching on an online dating app called Tinder.

After weeks of texting back and forth (and general, mutual flakiness), we finally set up a date in the real world. So on May 7, 2015, we went to a little taco place in west Atlanta. It was super casual.

Without going into all the details, the date didn’t exactly go great. It was over in about an hour. And we really didn’t communicate for the next several months. We both moved on, but neither of us forgot about “that other Brett from Alabama.”

In August of 2015, Brett Harman followed Brett Trapp on Instagram. Trapp definitely had not forgotten the handsome boy from Tuscaloosa and texted him within seconds (Harman still thinks it’s funny how quickly Trapp texted him). Communication was re-established, laughs were had about that bad first date, and we decided to give it a fresh new start. And we’ve been with each other ever since.

Honestly, neither of us ever thought this was possible. We’d both abandoned the idea of love, and even after we began to date people, wasn’t sure we’d ever find someone to spend our lives with. This still doesn’t seem real most days. But it is so, so good.

Our wedding day represents the end of a long story and the beginning of a new one. We’re beside ourselves with joy and we’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the occasion. We’d love for this day to be less about us and more about the amazing people who have loved us up unto this point in life.

In case we don’t get a chance to say it at the wedding, please know how much we love you.”
